went to statens museum for kunst and saw this piece by tomás saraceno cloud cities. some of the spheres are large enough to be entered by visitors...think that's pretty amazing. the best coffee from kaffe og vinyl with great company. seeing the world through a kaleidoscope. our first and only snowman build this winter. the plan was to go to the zoo on christmas day with my parents but we all ended up going on a hike and some crazy tobogganing in mølle parken and brought home made glögg and vanilla christmas cookies... found a recipe for glögg at food52. more good days spend in skagen. outdoor lunch. for the love of succulents. det grå fyr (the grey lighthouse) in skagen is denmarks second highest lighthouse and very pretty i must say.
my old camping bike..now sold. picked up this little guy on our berry hunt. can't wait for summer. hunting for berries and fruit in the wild is the best. this is from last summer. found the largest wild raspberry bushes at amager fælled. we had a feast eating the berries with coconut chocolate cake from my friends auntie who bakes amazing cakes topped off with a cup of tea. longing for summer.
got invited to attend the creative laboratory at saga furs design center vedbæk back in january. stayed for a week at their lovely old farmhouse and they took so good care of us. a week of pure creativity. the copper lamp koglen by arne jacobsen is pretty. and the last photo is of my favorite chair the spanish chair by børge mogensen.
before moving from copenhagen my parents came to visit and we went to eat at manfreds...i stick to the veggie daily special and that day we also shared a chocolate mousse....scrumptious! a visit to the farmers market...they have good stuff but expensive. beetroot, apple ginger juice. danish smørrebrød at halvvejen...one of my favorite lunch places in cph. went in the opposite direction with the visit to simple raw...really liked their cashew yogurt. wascator used to be our neighborhood hang out...cheap straight up coffee and really good food. packing away our records..these two gentlemen are oldies but goodies. snack-time at a friends workshop.
before leaving copenhagen this happened: lots of chandeliers at this place. love of neon signs. we had a great goodbye dinner with some great ladies from duckling at mother. on our way north to our new home in our thermos, moving from sunny into snowy. sparkling art pieces at kongens nytorv. view of larsbjørnstræde and halifax, they serve a pretty decent burger. work: food styling for bitchslap magazine. trinkets and crooked old buildings.
