mini guide | midsommarkransen

a mini tour of my hood. möbelmakeri is such a great little interior design shop and felt like i discovered a little secret because it's tucked away at ringdansvägen. they have everything from beautiful posters by danish silke bonde, diamond lights by eric therner to colourful washi-tape. super super nice shop and the shop also has a webshop..check it out here. the cafe ett skafferi at "skvallertorget" really wins you over with the large out door seating area and will say pretty friendly prices. next stop is the vintage store lyckliga gatan selling both funitures, clothes and everything in between. such great service and so many lovely things i wanted to buy. check out those glass fishing floats, those would look so good in the ombre macramés i'm making...will let you know when they are for sale in my etsy store. and what about that south american map. good stuff! almost next door you'll find another vintage store vintage fabriken and it's is oh so lovely. here you'll find a great deal of 50's style. check out that blue flower coffee cup on the second last picture i'm pretty sure a cup of coffee from that cup will tast amazing. and the row of dresses...so cute. here is a picture of the three lovely ladies owning this vintage heaven and links to their blogs. i've attached my google map of midsommarkransen where you can find a few other places. go on and check out midsommarkransen and let me know if you find something great i don't know about!

paris part I

had a great time visiting friends in paris. the weather was so and so but coffee and croissant was flowing so it didn't matter. a peak into the apartment we rented and the view from the terrasse. it was just what we wanted and close to everything. we always use airbnb when we travel. really like the feeling of living in a "real" apartment. you can find the one we rented here. went to e. dehillerin an old kitchen supply shop...feels like your stepping into another time and place. never got the chance to go to the beef club but peeked in and the interior looked super cozy. an unmarked black door to the left of the restaurant will lead you downstairs to their cocktailbar called ballroom du beef club...not to shabby! patterns. a cup of café crème at cafe de centre at montorgueil. mairie de paris.

things i do enjoy | blue bottle coffee

when we were living in williamsburg one of my favorite coffee spots was blue bottle coffee at berry st. i like that the good old drip coffee is back in style. must say i do enjoy a good simple cup of coffee. on the top picture we're sitting on the corner stoop and added a brownie from the mast brothers to the mix. wrote about those amazing guys here. i really like these videos where you can feel the people behind is so dedicated to exactly one specific thing...reminds me of a movie i saw a couple of weeks ago, but that's for another day...
